The forecast is calling for snow on Wednesday. This means I need to start wearing long pants. And socks.

For the record, I will not be biking on Wednesday. I have an early meeting. Nothing to do with the forecast.

Maybe just leave earlier for your meeting??? I ride my bike to work when I have meetings. I get a big kick out of the astonished looks when I show up in bike clothes. It usually leads to some pretty good conversation. "You rode FIVE whole miles to this?!?" "Yes, I did. I had to start yesterday to get here on time."

Leaving earlier is a fine idea, but unfortunately it doesn't work in practice. During the school year I get the kids off to school in the morning, and therefore I can't leave home until they're off to the bus stop.
