ArriveMN

The folks at ArriveMN.org were nice enough to send me an email last week.  I'm not sure how or why, but they said they needed my help to promote their new website and launch the ArriveMN brand.  Promoting websites?  Launching brands?  They've obviously got the wrong guy, I thought.  But then I saw the magic words:  Free T-shirt.

Fast forward to today.  After receiving further instructions I picked up my shirt at the downtown transportation office and received a flyer about a Transportation Fair tomorrow morning.  "Join us in Minneapolis at North Plaza of the Government Center Tuesday, September 18 from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. to discover a new way to Arrive!"  I have no idea what it's all about or if there will be freebies and/or snacks, but I'll be there.  I'll be the one in the green shirt.  Be sure to save me some coffee if there is any...

ah, one of the lucky few. I heard about the promotion from a link on the bikelove site and i (along with lots of others) go rejection notices as they'd only made like 275 t-shirts. Seems like a nice promotion though, i'll give an extra shout out to green t-shirts tomorrow.

They're having a launch here on Wednesday. Got my free t-shirt Saturday. They proposed to me to use me and my blog in a press release. I declined, but accepted the free t-shirt.

So what happened? We want to know!

My sweetie was one of the chosen few -- he showed up on his rainy morning commute in his green t-shirt and saw

no one

he rode in circles in his green t-shirt, then went to work

Later, he found out they'd moved it inside somewhere -- didn't do him much good at the time, though, since he was on his bike and (even if there had been a sign saying where they'd moved to) he wasn't planning on schlepping it through the skyways.

Do you know anything else about these guys?

My experience was identical to your sweetie's. I rode in, in the rain, showed up and saw no one. Rode a lap or two around the plaza and then went to work.

I saw no other green shirts either on the way to work or the way home.
