Anybody want to buy my Montgomery Ward Hawthorne? I don't need two single speed cruisers. It rides decent, but not great. The rear hub needs fresh lube, and so does the bottom bracket. I did repack the front hub a year or so ago, but didn't get any further. Coaster brake works well. The seat sags, as one of the supports underneath is broken. Below are a few pictures. Here's an offer: I advise you to learn to say no. I had a similar situation this weekend. I went to buy a frame and it was bent (slight buckle under the downtube). I still felt like I was obligated, for some reason, to buy the thing. I did not, but I can imagine a weaker version of me buying it anyway. I hate that part of me.
The remedy for that is go get yourself an acetylene torch. Then you have any number of excuses to collect more bike junk - to practice on, build art projects, whatever.
Craigslist it...black is a hot color in '08...if you don't want the hassle of listing it...let me know your price and I will ponder it...I am happily in denial regarding my addiction...
