Daughter, after coming downstairs and finding me in from of the Tour: Oh, you're watching bike racing again?
Me: Yes.
Daughter: Who's that guy talking?
Me: That's Paul Sherwin.
Daughter: Can I make fun of him?
Me: No!
Daughter: Oh. OK.

obviously, Pete, i've done a better job of educating my children b/c they ask me who's leading the stage and whether George, Floyd, et.al. are in the lead group. they don't comment, though, on the announcers
I like to turn the volume down and do a little mystery science theatre in my mind :)
Those two do have some goofy ass speaking habits, even for furriners. I enjoy listening to the pronunciations of "Leaky-gas" and the like.
