Just so you know, it's a bit spotty in NE Iowa. This is the brutally hilly part of Iowa, and for a while it'll be a lovely 8 foot wide paved shoulder then suddenly the shoulder's gone and you're on a county road with two 11 foot lanes, mile and half long climbs and a shoulder that barely makes it past the fog line. There are long-range plans to fill in the missing bits, so maybe your 10-year plan works.

Thanks for the info, Matt. I'm going to have to figure out how to gather this type of info for the rest of the trail too. Something to ponder...
