I read your comment on my blog about the spoke washers on the 3-speed hub. I recommend rebuilding the wheel with the washers. I put 2 on each spoke. Jim ordered some washers for me, because I'm going to build another similar wheel. So he should have more. The wheel built better with the washers. Without the washers, it felt mushy as I tensioned the spokes.
